Code of conduct

In order to achieve the goals as given in the Mission Statement, the persons taking on responsibility in the School of Business Informatics - referred to as "faculty" below - have agreed to follow the subsequent guidelines:

  1. The faculty will take all necessary and adequate measures to ensure success of the school's programs.
  2. Courses are normally held in a weekly rhythm within a semester-oriented frame, as in a "real" university. This means that the teaching objects - e.g. lecture videos, review questions, exercises, etc. - are provided and/or assessed in the same weekly rhythm.
  3. By committing to give a course, the faculty member takes on responsibility to perform the course to his/her very best, using necessary resources as appropriate and available. This includes preparation, execution and assessment of exams.
  4. New courses offered by the School of Business Informatics, in particular new courses in the MBI program, will be agreed upon by the faculty member willing to give a course and the Dean of the school.
  5. Faculty members will make their commitments to deliver a course on due time and refrain from cancellation on short notice.
  6. Faculty members will provide individual contact features and support for the students who attend their courses, by electronic means. Despite the physical distance, students will be assisted with their problems in and around the courses in all possible ways.
